Our story

Formulated by a cosmetic chemist, not a marketing team

Velvet Bloom started in 2019 as a weekend project in a Portland kitchen: one chemist, one hot plate, and a frustration with beauty aisles full of vague claims. Today we still mix every batch in-house in small runs of 300 units, and we publish the full INCI list for each product before it goes on sale.

Good to know before you order

Orders placed before 2:00 p.m. Pacific time on a business day are dispatched the same day from Portland, Oregon. Standard US delivery is 2–5 business days at a flat rate of $4.95, and free on orders of $50 or more. Tracking is emailed as soon as your parcel leaves us.

Unopened products can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price. For hygiene reasons, opened makeup and skincare cannot be resold, so we cannot refund those unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect — in that case email us a photo and we will replace or refund it.

Yes. Every current Velvet Bloom formula is vegan and has not been tested on animals, and we hold written statements from each ingredient supplier. None of our products are sold in markets that require animal testing.

Sales tax is calculated at checkout based on your delivery address and applicable state and local rates. The prices shown on this page exclude tax, and the final amount is always displayed before you confirm an order.

Yes. Guest checkout is available, and you only need an email address for the order confirmation and tracking link. We do not require a phone number and never sell customer details.
